In class exercise 5

Choose a mail fileing system for Frank Ritter or yourself. Note the factors that he should take account, including the users that will read it, the tasks they will be attempting, and the social factors in his own organisation. He has friends and collegagues, that work may be friends as well (and vice-versa). Some live in the US, some in Canada, Germany, and the UK. Some have moved between two countries. Some are in goverment, and some in universities. Some accounts are at work, and some are from at home (e.g. aol). There are also family members and groups (e.g. committees), and project teams that he trades mail with, and there are courses (e.g. ist1100) as well.

He would like a way to organise his 200 mail files for these people and groups. He reads mail with Eurdora.

You will be assigned into groups of 4 or 5. Each group will have 10 min. to discuss a plan, and 5 min. to prepare a very short presentation (up to 2 min.), which will be marked.
